We have to do it IRL and the familiar habits of canonization are worn out, overdue for the dustbin. Read something in a similar vein recently about Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance. The treatment dated to about the same time as yours. Funny that Robert Pirsig had probably covered a bit of the same ground, literally and figuratively.
