Tom Woods interviews me this time
In 2009 when I did a Q&A with libertarian economist-historian Tom Woods we talked about his book about the financial crisis, "Meltdown." This week he returned the favor and had me on his podcast.
The libertarian historian, economist, podcaster and prolific propagandist of freedom Tom Woods was kind enough to have me on his podcast the other day to talk about my long career in newspapers and help me sell my subversive children's book 'Grandpa Bear Goes to Washington.'
It was an enjoyable and easy-going conversation about how I survived and thrived as an open libertarian journalist in a liberal profession that we know now was in its last Golden Age.
Except for slandering C-SPAN founder Brian Lamb by saying he worked for CNN, I don't think I made too many gaffes.
Woods’ long and eclectic lineup of great guests on his podcast includes Ralph Nader, Ron Paul, Jordan Peterson, Pat Buchanan, plus dissident covid war scientists Peter McCullough, Jay Bhattacharya and Pierre Kory, activist Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Jethro Tull’s Ian Anderson.
Among his dozen-plus books are “The Politically Incorrect Guide to American History,” a 2004 New York Times best-seller, and “33 Questions About American History You Aren’t Supposed to Ask.”
Woods is a senior fellow at the Ludwig von Mises Institute in Auburn, Ala., which describes itself as “the world center of the Austrian School of economics.”His web site is here. His interview with me is here.
And here’s the interview I did with Tom about his 2009 book ‘Meltdown: A Free-Market Look at Why the Stock Market Collapsed, the Economy Tanked, and Government Bailouts Will Make Things Worse.”
Great show.
