The Nazi panzer commander who became a minister

Eberhard von Waldow was an officer in Hitler's army. But in 1994 he was a pacifist, a Holocaust scholar and a Lutheran minister in Pittsburgh who wanted the world to know not all Germans were bad.

This was one of my favorite feature stories and meeting a unique and good man like von Waldow in 1994 was one of the many reasons being a journalist was such a rewarding job.
