Resurrecting Pittsburgh's zombie classic -- in bloody color
In 1990 Pittsburgh's great splatter movie makers, George Romero and Tom Savini, got their makeup kits out and remade "Night of the Living Dead' south of the city. I watched them work.
Here’s an article that details the major locations used in the 1990 remake, which included the West Middletown Cemetery on Route 844 in Washington County and the old farmhouse where most of the action took place. Here’s some handy video. I now live about 15 minutes from the cemetery and farmhouse, where I watched a scene being shot.
