In 2010 I retraced the 10,000-mile route John Steinbeck took in 1960 for ‘Charley’ and turned my trip into Dogging Steinbeck. As I drove I wrote nine Sunday travel articles for the Post-Gazette. No. 4’s subject was Montana.
