In the spring of 2025, Drue Tepper, 35, was living in Florida, doing an incredible amount of fishing and continuing to pursue his love of wildlife in all its terrestrial and watery places.

Two years later Susan Luttner, the pastor mentioned above who had adopted two little girls from Russia, called me. In 1995 she had taken issue with Ti Tepper’s crusade to warn adoptive parents of the perils of adopting from Russian orphanages. She said her two girls were doing fine in 1995. When she called me in 1997 she said her girls had wrecked her home and destroyed her life. She wanted me to do a follow-up story on her experience. Here’s a link to her ordeal.
